Saturday: December 28, 2024

At last the year is almost done. The days are quickly slipping by and the countdown to the new year is underway. Everyone is busy juggling the details of everyday life with family and friend gatherings and celebrations.

For me the days since the winter solstice have been filled with planning for the new year, in fact December 21st was dedicated to goal setting. I really enjoyed having dedicated time for that and as the days have progressed I have started to implement small changes toward my new year goals.

My sense is that even though we are still in 2024 there is no reason not to try and start to move toward my goals. I like the idea that even though we plan for the future there is still plenty that can be done in the present.

For the past two or so years I have tried to have a word of the year. Previously my word has been strength, now I move on to the words trust and focus. I know it is two words instead of one but I want them both and so I’m ok with it. To help me connect with the intentions behind these two words I have decided to have a little rhyme for myself:

Hocus-pocus, trust and focus.

I quite like this as a little reminder of what I want to work on this coming year.

I look forward to the new year and another chance to keep living, keep learning, and keep trying to be my best most authentic self.

I hope that your days are filled with love and joy amid the hustle and bustle.

Until the new year!

xoxo,

Angelica Sophia

P.S.

Currently reading Let Them by Mel Robbins, reminds me a bit of the book Courage To Be Disliked.
