June Gloom, July Recovery
July is here, mid July is here.
It’s been a good while now since I put out a blog post (May 19). A lot of stuff has been going on, hard stuff and I’ve been struggling to come back from all of that.
May gave me a beautiful gift, I found out I was pregnant but by mid to late June I received a blow. My pregnancy wasn’t viable, I wouldn’t be having this baby.
Here is a little poem I wrote about the experience:
– THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS –
I tried stringing one to two to three,
Tried making something new.
And you too, you wanted to connect
Wanted to reach out.
But in the end,
It wasn’t meant to be.
For a precious moment here you were,
A bright light inside of me,
A new hope,
All of my dreams come true.
You were a love that swelled
And sprouted with the spring.
And then just like that,
In a flash,
The magic was gone.
God, please help me to cope.
It’s been challenging to say the least. I’ve been trying my hardest to keep moving, to keep going but as a result my writing work has struggled.
I haven’t been reading, writing, or even journaling which I usually do on a daily basis.
Little by little I’m trying to get back into the swing of things this month. I’m determined to get back on track and back to the work I love doing so much even though at the moment it all feels so overwhelming and like I’m starting from scratch again.
I’m looking forward to things getting better soon.
Hope things are going well on your side of the screen!
I’ll be back soon,
xoxo
